PREMIER CC VS K.ICC CC MATCH REPORT

Afridi?s all round heroics guide KICC to a mega victory over struggling PREMIER CC.
Venue: ENTEBBE OVAL
TIME: 10:00AM
K.I.C.C 252/10 in 46.2 overs beat PREMIER CC 70/10 in 16.2 overs by 182 runs.
Batting KICC; IRFAN AFRIDI 67(56), WASIM BUTT 35(56)
Bowling PREMIER; OPIO RONALD 5/38 in 7.2 overs , RATHEESH NAIR 3/37 in 10 overs
Batting premier; RAJESH NAIR 50(43)
Bowling KICC; IRFAN AFRIDI 8/32 in 9.2 overs, DAVIS KARASHANI 2/3 in 3 overs

At the lakeside oval in entebe, the much anticipated battle between KICC and PREMIER CC went down though turned out anti climax as it seemed to be an easy win for KICC as they schooled their foes as though they were amateurs. With KICC opting to bat first, IRFAN AFRIDI took the task upon himself to lead his team to an extremely convincing victory over PREMIER with his glamourous performance with both the bat and ball. Unlike usually, Afridi ?LALA? came in to bat at number 3 and with his ?boom boom? style of batting, he managed to give KICC the momentum they needed with a tactical half ton that included some massive maximums. WASIM BUTT and DAVIS KARASHANI also made significant contributions with the bat as they played with calmness and pushed the overs.

On the side for premier, youngster OPIO RONALD was left to fight with only support from CALVIN WATUWA who tried to perform with the ball. OPIO?s 5 wicket haul went in vain just like RAJESH NAIR?S gritty half ton which actually contributed 74% of PREMIER?S total runs with none of the other batsmen scoring more than 10 runs a disastrous performance that saw four men score ?ducks?.

With just a few games left on the fixtures for the 50over men?s league there?s not much change expected to witness as the winners are clearly known and the ones to be relegated have already sealed their fate.
